Aria and Jocelyn are two rising high school sophomores who burst onto the Des Moines songwriting in 8th grade. Their live shows consist of a combination covers and originals. Their interest in performing was heavily influenced by regional touring artist, Eleanor Grace. Grace introduced Aria and Jocelyn to the world of songwriting and they were instantly hooked! Through Grace’s mentorship Aria and Jocelyn decided to step out into Des Moines’ music scene. Aria and Jocelyn's music is influenced, of course, by Taylor Swift as well as other artists including Gracie Abrams and Olivia Rodrigo. However, they continue to put their own blend and spin into their music and vocals. As they continue to grow in their musicianship, they are always adding new artists, genres and decades to their list of covers and influences.
Their inspiring and introspective lyrics are full of stories of teen life and experiences that rising adults grapple with in daily life. Aria and Jocelyn hope the music, lyrics and stories embedded in their songs can help other teens to feel more connected and less alone in their own journeys. Aria and Jocelyn’s songs have also allowed them the space to overcome their own challenges by reflecting through the art of music and songwriting.
Aria has been invited to join a prestigious arts program in NYC this summer. She has studied with several Broadway artists and industry vocal coaches in both LA, Chicago and NYC.
Jocelyn dove into song writing head first studying virtually at the prestigious Interlochan Academy. She is in the process of recording her first EP. She recently was invited to Grammy Camp in Nashville and studied with some of the top songwriting professionals in the industry. Check out Jocelyn at Jocelyn Cole Music Instagram
